SensorGuard: Mic & Cam Shield ("we", "our", or "the app") is designed to empower users with real-time awareness and control over hardware sensor access on their Android devices. Your privacy is the fundamental premise of our application.
2. Data Collection and Processing
We collect zero personal data. All monitoring, logging, and evaluation routines are executed strictly on your local device hardware:
No Cloud Servers: SensorGuard does not connect to external servers or cloud databases to offload telemetry or user logs.
No Audio/Video Recording: The application monitors access states (active/inactive status) of device sensors. It does not record, stream, or inspect audio signals, video frames, or microphone input.
Local SQLite / Room Database: All history logs and custom remediation rules are stored locally inside the application's secure sandbox on your device and are permanently deleted when cleared or when the app is uninstalled.
3. Permissions Used and Technical Purpose
SensorGuard requests specific Android operating system permissions solely to perform its advertised security functions:
Microphone & Camera Permissions: Used exclusively to detect foreground and background sensor state transitions in real time.
Usage Access / AppOps: Used to correlate sensor state activations with the corresponding background or foreground application package.
Post Notifications: Used to display immediate heads-up alerts and action controls when background sensor access is detected.
4. Third-Party Sharing & Analytics
SensorGuard does not integrate third-party tracking SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers. No identifiable or unidentifiable information is ever shared with external entities.
5. User Data Control and Deletion
You maintain full control over all logged data generated on your device:
Clear Logs: You can purge your entire activity history and custom whitelist rules at any time via the in-app reset controls.
Complete Removal: Uninstalling the application immediately removes the local SQLite database and all cached settings from your device.
6. Security
Because all logic remains sandboxed within your local device environment, your data is protected by the native security model of the Android operating system.
